Bedford County Schools Superintendent Dr. Tammy Garrett, State Rep. Pat Marsh and Suzy Cartwright Johnson, daughter of the namesakes, were among speakers during Thursday night's dedication of Bedford County's newest elementary school-Cartwright Elementary.
School Board Chair Michael Cook said Cartwright Elementary is just the start as there will soon be a need for more like this one in Bedford County in the near future.
It was pointed out that that the County saved about $2 million due to the due diligence of project managers. See Thursday's Times-Gazette for full story.
