Elizabeth Gayle Beech, age 81, of Shelbyville, passed from this life on August 18, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Born June 15, 1943, in Shelbyville, Gayle was the daughter of the late Horace Lamb and Ollie Ruth Loyd. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Joe Harry Beech, Sr.; brothers, C.J. Lamb, Kenneth Lamb, and Doyle Lamb.
Gayle was a selfless individual that loved being helpful to others. She was the owner of Center of Attention child daycare for many years before retiring. She was a longtime member of Horse Mt. Church of Christ and in her free time she loved coloring books and preparing wonderful meals for family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Joe Harry “Joey” Beech, Jr.; granddaughter, Ashlei; two great grandchildren, Keylei, and Alawna; and siblings, Clyde Lamb and wife Vicky, and Sarah Frances Gillespie and husband Jimmy.
A private entombment will take place at Willow Mt. Cemetery and no public services will be held.
