Glenn Galynn Raymond, age 83, of Shelbyville, departed this life, to be with his heavenly father, on August 13, 2024, after a short illness.
Private graveside services were held 2:30 PM Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Wilkes Cemetery in Culleoka, Tennessee.
He was born February 10, 1941, in Leoma (Giles County) Tennessee, to the late Jesse Guy Raymond and Clemmie Lucas Raymond.
He then went to manage a service station in Lewisburg and then was employed with Heil Quacker in Lewisburg for a time. After he retired from Teledyne Technologies in Lewisburg, he loved showing off his 1958 Red Ford Truck and attending classic car shows in middle Tennessee.
He loved taking care of his constant companion and “furbaby” named Hunter, and enjoyed going to Flea Markets and antique sales.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Jeannie Elizabeth Scott Raymond, of Shelbyville; a son, Victor Raymond, and his wife Lisa, of Lewisburg; a daughter, Judy Raymond Lamb, and her husband Bruce, of Cookeville; a brother, Fagan Raymond and his wife Libby, of Murfreesboro; sisters, Tyla Gillean, of Centerville, Alabama, and Myrna Gillespie, of Cornersville; grandchildren, Glenda Hargrove, and her husband Matt, of Chapel Hill, Ashton Norris, and her husband Ricky, of Lewisburg, and B J Raymond, and his wife Kendra, of Cornersville; great grandson, Jeremiah Raymond, of Cornersville; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister.
The family wants to extend a “Thank You” to Adoration Home Health and Hospice Compassus for support and professional and caring services.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
