Joseph Walter “Joe” Stovall, Sr. age 85, of Shelbyville, passed away July 3, 2024, at his home, under the loving care and comfort of his family and Hospice Compassus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marie Stovall. Joe is survived by his wife of 62 1/2 years, Patricia Stovall; son, Jody Stovall, of Shelbyville, daughter Kathy Williams of Owens Cross Roads, AL and daughter Annette (Jason) Williams of Shelbyville. He had 8 grandchildren; Chase (Witnee) Williams of Madison, AL; Ryann (Chris) Thomas of Owens Cross Roads, AL, Donovan (Kara) Williams of New Hope, AL, Hope Williams of Owens Cross Roads, AL, Kyle(Beth) Stovall of Normandy, Colt (Taylor) Williams of Shelbyville, Carston Williams of Shelbyville and Cami Williams of Shelbyville. He also had 8 great-grandchildren: Kanaan, Dajhuan, Brooklyn, Jadyn, Haarlem, Skye, Dax, and JT.
Mr. Stovall was known for his wonderful of sense of humor. He was an accountant by trade, a veteran of the United States Navy, and a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Visitation was Monday, July 8, at Feldhaus Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
The funeral service was at Trinity Baptist Church on Tuesday evening, July 9, at 6:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Baptist Church and Shelbyville Central High School Baseball.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
