Funeral services for Mario Mureno Mendoza, age 49, of Shelbyville, were held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024, in St. Williams of Montevergine Catholic Church with Father Edwin Cardova officiating. Burial followed at Willow Mount Cemetery.
Mario passed from this life on Monday, August 5, 2024, at Vanderbilt-Bedford Hospital.
Visitation with the family was held prior to funeral services on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home.
Mario was born on December 12, 1974, in Cordoba, Veracruz, Mexico to Vicenta Mendoza Montufa and the late Amado Mureno Sanchez.
He was owner and operator of Martin’s Lawncare since 2000, having worked side by side with his son, Mario Mureno, who will continue to operate his lawncare service.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his wife, Margarita Davila Jacome; children, Mario Mureno, Jr., Pedro Mureno, and Ana Mureno; siblings, Amado Mureno Mendoza, Sergio Mureno Mendoza, Sergio Mureno Rodriguez, Jr., Aleiandro Mureno Mendoza, Francisco Mureno Mendoza, Dulce Maria Mureno Mendoza, Adriana Mureno Mendoza, Alberto Jimenez, Jose Mureno Mendoza, Laila Ramirez, Jesus Mureno Mendoza, Ray Mureno, Betty Campos, Ernesto Davila, Shatoni Garcia, and Vladimir Davila.
