Graveside services for Raymond Farrar McGregor, 91, of Shelbyville, were held 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 12, 2024, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Bobby McGee officiating.
Raymond died May 24, 2024.
He was a painter by trade for the Tennessee Valley Authority in Nashville. He enjoyed his career and was great at doing it. He was a hard-working man that did multiple jobs to support and care for his family.
Raymond served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. As he grew older, his memory of the time seemed to develop and he was proud of his military service.
He was a loving family man that had the best time when he was around the ones he loved. Raymond always had a smile on his face that was contagious and could turn a bad day into a good day just by being there.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, John Elmer McGregor and Florine Zada Bell McGregor; his wife, Judy McGregor; brothers, Tom Bradford and Jake Bradford, sister, Linda Martin and daughter, Sherrie Miles.
He is survived by daughter, Julie Corino (Bill); 3 grandchildren, Michael Miles, Jennie Corino Cook and Samantha Corino; 7 great grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.
Raymond will be loved and missed by all, but never forgotten.
