Rickey Howard Cooper of Hermitage, brother of Roger Cooper of Shelbyville, went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2024, at the age of 69. He was born in Shelbyville on June 19, 1955, to the late William Howard and Mary Aileen Cooper.
He was a graduate of Shelbyville High School. Rick loved his grandchildren and UT; (GO VOLS!)
In addition to his parents, Rickey is proceeded in death by his sister, Carolyn Sanders.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Kelly Jo; sons, Chip Watson (Danielle), Tyler Cooper (Sonia), William Casey Cooper (Rachael); daughters, Brittany Cooper, Christina Cooper (Zachary), Priscilla Cooper, Amanda Cooper; 8 grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday Aug. 3, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 3259 McGavock Pike, Nashville, from 1-4 p.m. Pastor Rick Roberts officiated.
